On April 22, Samsung officially delayed the launch of its next foldable phone.
The Galaxy Fold
Due to a series of reports from reviewers whose units have failed. At that time, the company said it would announce a new release date "In the next weeks".
Seven and a half weeks later, the Galaxy Fold does not yet have an official release date. To make matters worse, Tom's Guide reports that AT&T has now begun canceling advance orders for the device.
The establishment placed an advance order for the Fold through AT&T, and received a cancellation notice on June 12.
"Unfortunately, Samsung delayed the launch of the Fold, which means we can't send your phone and we have to cancel your advance order.", said the warning.
It also indicates that customers will be able to place a new order once Samsung announces a new launch date for the fold. In addition, customers who pre-ordered the Fold will receive an AT&T Promotion Card with a value of 100 dollars within 60 days.
The Galaxy Fold
It is a $ 1,980 smartphone with a folding screen, the first for Samsung, and first-class specifications.
Unfortunately, several reviewers had problems with their units, and some of the Folds even malfunctioned, which caused Samsung to delay the launch.
Several reports indicated
That Samsung has solved the problems that affected the first Fold, we are still waiting to see an updated unit or get a new release date.
We communicate with Samsung about the cancellation of AT&T and will update the item when we contact them. So far, when we ask, Samsung has remained true to its original response:
the release date will be revealed "In the next weeks".
