Sony's mobile division is not going through its best moment. The numbers harvested during this 2019 do not call for hope and, unfortunately, The last movements of the Japanese firm do not seem to change this trend.
The Japanese company has presented a new edition of its flagship, the Sony Xperia 1, designed for professionals. This is the new Sony Xperia 1 Professional Edition, with the same design and most specifications as its predecessor, but with a price that will not leave you indifferent.

One of the most important changes regarding the Xperia 1 is the one found on the screen. The new Sony Xperia 1 Professional Edition features a 4K HDR panel with BT2020 color range and 10-bit depth. Its size remains the same, 6.5 inches, together with P-OLED technology and an ultra-romantic ratio of 21: 9. Apart from technologies for photography such as Imaging Edge Mobile Transfer and adaptations in the USB-C port, there is nothing more worth mentioning.
The rest of the specifications are the same as those of the original Xperia 1, the Snapdragon 855, 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage and a triple camera with 12 megapixel sensors. It also has a 3,330 mAh battery, fast charging and a fingerprint reader on the side frame.
This Sony Xperia 1 Professional Edition for now is only available in Japan, with a starting price of 143,000 yen. In exchange, about 1,185 euros, almost 1,315 dollars. In countries like Spain it will be somewhat more expensive than the iPhone 11 Pro, but in US territory we will be talking about a difference of more than 300 dollars.
Taking into account that in stores like Amazon you can find the Sony Xperia 1 for less than 700 euros, Does such a price make sense for the few novelties with which this "professional version" arrives?
