Reuters reported today, citing the Japanese newspaper Nikkei, thatSharp provide part of its technology to the manufacturer Foxconn, to produce panels for various devices. Among these devices that will be manufactured in the new Hon Hai plant, is a new Apple iPhone 5.
This movement has been following another in which the parent company of Foxconn bought more than 46% of the Sharp LCD panel manufacturing plant in Japan, crowded with a total of 11% of the company, equivalent to 844 million dollars. Apparently, part of Sharp's actions belong to Sony, another of the usual actors in this world of Japanese technologies.
We have also learned that Sharp was able to provide the screens for the third generation iPad, but it did not give him time to have his IZGO technology ready for March. This is why Samsung took careof full screen production.
