If you are a multitasking person like me, having a monitor connected to your laptop that allows you to more easily manage different windows and programs is not only important, but also becomes a necessity. Also, if you have to touch up any image or edit video, an ms. First of all, it allows you to be more efficient and, secondly, you don't leave your eyes on a smaller screen.
But how about a 34-inch monitor? Amazing right? Well, since I'm very lucky, LG has lent me a 34WK95U-W Ultrawide monitor for several days and, really, I have to confess that I cry as soon as I don't have it on my desk. If you do not have a monitor, it is easier not to miss it, that is the truth, but when you already have one and, in addition, with this size that makes you feel as if you are commanding the world, it is much harder to go back.
But, well, while I get the idea, in this review try to explain how I have been these weeks with the 34-inch LG monitor.
Design and assembly
Although I write about technology and try a multitude of devices, it will not define me as the most handy person in the world. We'll leave it that way. Well, in that sense, I have to say that it cost me nothing, at all, to mount the LG monitor on my desk. That s, weighs and quite – specifically, 9 kilos.
Its design is minimalist and elegant, which allows it to be placed anywhere in the house.
When the box arrived, I was scared by its size and the first thing I thought was that it was my turn to ask for help with its assembly and installation. But no, it was not the case. LG assembly system is very easy. Hooking the monitor to its stand or stand was a seen and not seen.
And not only that, its design is minimalist and elegant, which allows it to be placed anywhere in the house without breaking the aesthetics of it – unless your style is more classic or traditional.

But most remarkable of all are those 34 inches that, suddenly, made me see my tiny desk. Nor is it that he has a huge desk, everything is said.
Installation and startup
Afterwards, I was pleasantly surprised that connecting it to my MacBook Pro was a very simple process. I took the Thunderbolt 3 cable and connected the back of the monitor to the side of my laptop.
In addition, the cable not only keeps both devices connected to work together, but also charges the notebook. A win-win.
However, at first it was hard for me to intuit where the power button on the monitor was, but finally I found it at the bottom of it.

Of these features, in addition to the size and quality of the image, the multiple connections offered by the LG monitor, as well as its Nano IPS panel. The advantage of this panel is more vivid colors, but without departing from reality. Sometimes, there are screens that offer colors that, honestly, are incredible, but that give an unrealistic air, but this is not the case. Far from seeing some images that are too saturated or bright, this monitor is already calibrated with a more than sufficient and realistic configuration. You love it! The experience of watching (and listening to) a series on Netflix, for example, was very positive.
Games
Although in my case I have used this LG monitor for my daily work, that is, writing documents and articles, editing images, uploading files to different platforms and, even, watching some trailer or series, surely if you are gamer Want to know how he behaves with games.

Price
And another small problem, or not so small, of the monitor is its price. Although it can be found in some online and physical stores at a tighter price than the original, you have to invest enough to enjoy its 34 inches.
Specifically, the recommended retail price of the LG 34WK95U-W Ultrawide monitor is 1399 euros, that is, $ 1,500 dollars – like my MacBook Pro – although in Spain it can be found on Amazon or Fnac for 1000 euros, that is, around at $ 1,100 dollars.

Conclusion
If your work -which you spend many hours a day- requires several simultaneous tasks, editing photographs or videos and having multiple windows constantly open to monitor different variables, then the LG 34WK95U-W Ultrawide monitor will make you fall in love.
But, to get it, you'll have to scratch your pocket. However, it is an investment in the medium or long term because with monitors it does not happen as with other devices and its life is much longer.
However, it is about spending at least 1,000 euros and, if you do not have a high budget, this model will not fit your list of requirements.
However, once the test is difficult to get rid of it or go to a monitor of smaller dimensions. Why, when they give you an exquisite sweet (for its size, color and quality), who wants to level down and try something simply good?
