It could be a perfect storm, without social networks.
The three platforms
Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, all with interruptions experienced on Wednesday morning.
The interruptions were concentrated in the eastern United States and parts of Europe and South America.
The problem seems to have started around 7 am ET and persisted until the next morning.
They had trouble publishing stories and posts on Facebook and Instagram, and for viewing multimedia content on all three platforms.
It fell several hours, just a few weeks before, which caused some in social networks to complain about the apparently frequent problems.
Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp
They may be different social networks, but today they share more and more architecture behind the scenes.
Facebook is integrating the technology that runs the messaging systems of all three. And it is said that Facebook is exercising more management control over the other platforms.
We cannot say if that is affecting the interruption of the service, but it is not a coincidence that everyone is part of the same mothership.
For more information about interruptions and update this story when we learn more.
“We are aware that some people and companies currently have problems uploading or sending images, videos and other files in our applications. We are working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible ”, said a Facebook spokesman.
"During one of our routine maintenance operations, we cause a problem that makes it difficult for some people to upload or send photos and videos."
