Performance, battery life and charge

Apple updates its processor every year, making it faster and more efficient. Therefore, the iPhone 11 Pro has the last A13 Bionic that is superior to the A12 Bionic of the iPhone XS, which in turn is superior to the A11 Bionic of the iPhone X.

The A13 is approximately 20% faster and consumes 40% less energy than the A12. If you feel a big difference is somewhat debatable because the iPhone X works with any game and application, but if you jump directly to the 11 Pro, you should notice that it is a little faster.

The iPhone XS has 4 GB of RAM, so it is even more capable of performing several tasks at the same time with respect to the iPhone X, which conforms to 3 GB. We suspect that the 11 Pro will have more RAM, but this has not yet been confirmed. Apple does not specify the RAM, so we will have to wait to see it closely and try it.

The capacity of the battery is another feature that Apple does not reveal, but says that the iPhone 11 Pro can last four hours longer than the iPhone XS. This is likely to be due to the more efficient processor, rather than an increase in battery capacity. Both the iPhone XS and the iPhone X support fast charging at 15W, but they don't come with the necessary charger (you have to buy it separately). Fortunately, Apple has considered it appropriate to include an 18W charger in the iPhone 11 Pro case. All three support Qi wireless charging.

Design and durability

The iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone XS and iPhone X are clearly related, and you will have to look closely to distinguish them. Each has a 5.8-inch screen with thin bezels and a large notch on top. All have stainless steel frames and a glass back. The square camera module on the back of the 11 Pro is all that distinguishes it, although it also comes in a new color (green). Meanwhile, the iPhone XS and iPhone X are identical.

There have been significant improvements in durability. The iPhone X can withstand immersion in 1 meter for 30 minutes without being damaged. The iPhone XS increases it to 2 meters and the iPhone 11 Pro to 4 meters. Apple also showed the new iPhone surviving a test of each, but we still advise buyers to look for one of the best iPhone 11 Pro cases.

screen

iPhone 11 Pro vs. iPhone XS vs. iPhone X

Apple first adopted the OLED technology on its screens with the iPhone X and that 5.8-inch screen remained unchanged on the iPhone XS. The iPhone 11 Pro has the same screen size and the same resolution of 2,436 x 1,125 pixels, but Apple has increased brightness and contrast. You may notice a slight difference when viewing the HDR content, but you may not notice in most of the scenarios and the screen on the iPhone XS and the iPhone X is still great.

Camera

iPhone 11 Pro vs. iPhone XS vs. iPhone X

If you are looking for a significant improvement in the iPhone 11 Pro, this is where you will find it.

The iPhone XS and iPhone X have sets of identical cameras that combine a 12 MP main lens with an aperture of f / 1.8 and a secondary telephoto lens of 12 MP with an aperture of f / 2.4. Both also have a 7 MP camera on the front, along with a flight time (ToF) sensor to enable Face ID.

The iPhone 11 Pro has a triple lens consisting of a 12MP main lens with an aperture of f / 1.8 am, an ultra-wide 12MP lens with an aperture of f / 2.4 and a 120 degree field of view and a 12MP telephoto lens with an opening of f / 2.0.

The new ultra-wide-angle lens allows you to take much larger photos, potentially capturing the scene four times more, and the larger aperture of the new telephoto lens allows you to get better performance in low light.

The iPhone 11 Pro also now has a 12MP lens on its front camera.

Software and updates

The new iPhones announce the end of 3D Touch, in favor of Haptic Touch, but all these iPhones are going to run iOS 13, which means that the software experience is going to be identical. All of them will continue to be updated at the same time in the future.

Special features

iPhone 11 Pro vs. iPhone XS vs. iPhone X

The updated camera is the main feature of the iPhone 11 Pro, but there are two more points of interest in the specification sheet that differentiate it from the iPhone XS and the iPhone X. Perhaps the most important thing is the support for Wi-Fi 6, which should Allow faster download speeds once you have the network available. There is also the Ultra Wideband technology that brings spatial awareness to the iPhone 11 Pro and is configured to allow “directional suggestions” to AirDrop with iOS 13.1. This could be a very useful new feature.

Winner: Apple iPhone 11 Pro

Price and availability

The iPhone 11 Pro replaces the iPhone XS, which in turn replaces the iPhone X. Apple no longer sells the previous two, although they can still be found elsewhere, and there is a thriving second-hand market for iPhone phones. The 11 Pro starts at $ 999 dollars, as do its predecessors, and will be widely available starting September 20.

Absolute winner

Naturally, the iPhone 11 Pro is a better phone than the iPhone XS or iPhone X. The latest addition to the Apple family has a more versatile camera, a faster processor, more resistance and a more durable design.

But none of these slight updates is wonderful and, if you already have an iPhone XS or even an iPhone X, you don't have to rush to the nearest Apple Store yet.
