Performance, battery life and charge
Although we have not yet made a review of the new iPhone 11 Pro Max, the truth is that we expect its performance to exceed that of the previous generation, if only for its updated chipset. While the XS Max works with the A12 Bionic chip, Apple's new flagship phone comes with the A13 version.
Both have the same internal storage options of 64 GB, 256 GB or 512 GB. But there is a slight difference in RAM -6GB vs. 4GB- which gives the new phone a slight advantage in the multitasking department. But for general use, the difference is probably negligible.
If you are upgrading from an old iPhone, the A13 Bionic chip has great potential. Its power comes from 18 cores, and Apple says that the performance of the Bionic A13 is up to 20% faster than that of the A12.
The A13 has six cores in the main CPU, four in the GPU and an eight-core NPU (neural processor) to boost artificial intelligence tasks. The new chips incorporate the third generation neural motor, which facilitates faster learning when it comes to photos and videos. The GPU is up to 30% faster, with a 40% reduction in energy consumption.
Both models have wireless charging through the Qi standard, as well as a fast charge with Apple's fast charger. Apple says the iPhone 11 Pro battery lasts up to five hours longer than the iPhone XS Max. But here's the best: Apple includes an 18W USB-C adapter with all iPhone 11 Pro so the phone can be charged in half in just 30 minutes. While the iPhone XS Max also supports fast charging, in this case Apple includes a 5W charger in the box.

Both are available in gold, silver and space gray, while the new model adds the option of green color. The Pro Max has a matte finish that alters its appearance compared to the iPhone XS Max. In terms of raw statistics, the iPhone 11 Pro Max and the iPhone XS Max appear to be almost identical.
Apple calls the new Retina Display XDR instead of Super Retina HD. The reason? Apple increased the brightness of the new model to 1,200 nits and the contrast ratio of 2 million to one, and that's roughly double if compared to the iPhone XS Max.
The new OLED panel is also 15% more energy efficient. The iPhone 11 also eliminates the 3D Touch and has instead equipped it with the Haptic Touch.

Where the new iPhone 11 Pro Max really shines is in the camera, although the iPhone XS Max is not a slack in the photographic section.
The new camera system of the iPhone has a triple camera configuration with a main objective of 12 MP that has f / 1.8 aperture, a telephoto lens with f / 2.0 aperture and an ultra wide angle lens with f / 2.4 aperture, optical stabilization Image (OIS), enhanced intelligent HDR, portrait mode with effect bokeh Advanced, depth control and brighter True Tone flash.
Three cameras are better than two, in this case. The new 120-degree ultra wide-angle lens, which allows users to capture a wider field of view, is absent from the old iPhone. The iPhone XS Max has a dual camera of 12 MP with OIS, f / 1.8 and f / 2.4, and is compatible with Smart HDR and that excellent vertical mode with effect bokeh Advanced and depth control.
The triple camera is an important update of the new iPhone and the software can now offer better images in low light. The new camera improves focus speed, dynamic range and detail capture. The video capabilities of the iPhone 11 Pro Max have been improved similarly to those of the previous version. QuickTake video allows you to record video by pressing and holding the shutter button.
Let's not forget the front camera: the iPhone 11 Pro Max has gone from a resolution of 7 MP to 12 MP and has intelligent HDR and an improved dynamic range. You can also record 4K videos at 60 fps with movie video stabilization and can, for the first time, record selfies in slow motion (slofies) at 120 fps.
There are not many new photo and video modes in the new phones, except night mode with artificial intelligence. Most of the other functions were already available on last year's models, such as HDR and the ability to record video with a resolution of up to 4K at 60 fps.

Software and updates
Apple's iOS 13 is native to the new generation of iPhones, and has clear advantages over iOS 12.
However, in terms of compatibility, the iPhone XS Max easily executes the new iOS as well as the new phone, so there is no inherent advantage when it comes to the operating system.

The iPhone 11 Pro Max features a new chip called U1 that uses ultra-wideband technology to improve spatial awareness. This allows you to precisely locate other devices.
