Doubting between the iPhone XS and iPhone X? The world of smart phones is moving steadily, with endless improvements added to each new model. A year after the launch of the iPhone X, Apple once again renewed its range: clearly parts of the same family, with a notched OLED screen and the same design signs, the iPhone XS arrived to compete with a model we had taken Much cario. Today the iPhone 11 reigns, but if you want to spend so much money – or you are not interested in having ?the last? at all costs – both the iPhone XS and the iPhone X are two very good options, and here we help you decide.

Performance, battery and charge
Most notable here is the upgrade to Apple's latest Bionic A12 processor.
This new chip is faster and more efficient than its predecessor, the A11, which you will find on the iPhone X.
Apple suggests that it is 15% faster and 40% more energy efficient. There is also an improved neuronal engine in the A12 Bionic, along with augmented reality and graphic improvements that should please players.
We are not sure how much the extra speed will feel now, since the iPhone X comfortably handle everything you can throw at it, but as more demanding applications and games are launched to take advantage of this jump in processing power, we will see a gap, since Apple also suggests that applications will load up to 30% faster on the iPhone XS.
We also expect to see a significantly better battery life on the iPhone XS, and Apple suggests that it should last half an hour longer per day on average, although it didn't reveal the capacity.
In addition, both iPhones are compatible with Qi wireless charging.
Winner: iPhone XS
Design and durability
It will be difficult to distinguish both phones. As is the tradition with an S update, the body of the iPhone XS is identical to that of the iPhone X.
We have the same glass design with a notch on the top of the 5.8-inch OLED screen. However, only the iPhone XS comes in gold.
A case or case is going to be a necessity for any of these iPhones, so check out our selection of iPhone X and iPhone XS cases. The iPhone XS, however, is covered in a stronger glass.
On the other hand, the owners of the iPhone X, can immerse their phone in shallow water, up to a meter deep, for up to half an hour without damage, while the iPhone XS has a slightly higher IP68 rating, which means that it can handle depths of up to 2 meters during the same period.
Winner: iPhone XS
Both models have the same 5.8-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2,436 1,125 pixels. They are sharp, bright and have precise colors.
The aspect ratio is 19.5: 9, so it is a wide screen, although that distinctive notch cuts a portion of it. The ratio between screen and body remains one of the highest, with 82.9%.
We have been impressed by the iPhone X dual lens camera and Apple has opted for the same configuration on the iPhone XS.
You have two 12 megapixel lenses, both with optical image stabilization (OIS), but one has an f / 1.8 aperture, while the other has an f / 2.4 aperture and supports a 2 optical zoom.
It is capable of capturing large shots in a wide variety of different situations, although it does not match some competitors when it comes to low light photography.
Something very good that it does is capture excellent portrait shots with blurred backgrounds, and the iPhone XS allows you to adjust the depth of field after taking a photo.
Apple says the sensor on the iPhone XS is twice as fast, so we hope to see some improvements when we can try it for a while.
The front camera has the same TrueDepth support, which allows FaceID to work safely and also allows Animojis and Memojis to work well.
Apparently, the iPhone XS has a faster Secure Enclave and an algorithm update, which means that the FaceID system should work a little faster on the newest phone.
Winner: Apple iPhone XS
Software and updates
Apple's iPhone XS starts with the iOS 12 operating system on board, while the iPhone X is launched with iOS 11.
However, the iPhone X can be updated to iOS 12 very easily. Apple releases updates regularly, and both iPhones will be easy to update.
The software experience and the update should be identical for both phones, but we are going to give the iPhone a new advantage, since it is likely that you will receive updates a little earlier than your predecessor.
Winner: iPhone XS
Perhaps, the main feature here is the TrueDepth front camera, which is capable of scanning your face, even in the dark, to unlock your iPhone.
Apple has used the same technology to animate funny creatures in the form of Animojis or cartoons in the form of Memojis. They will add some fun to your chats and work much better than other similar functions in other phones.
The iPhone XS adds dual SIM support, which is ideal for international travelers. Therefore, he is crowned as a winner in this category.
Winner: iPhone XS
It's no surprise that Apple has made improvements and that the iPhone XS is a slightly better phone than its predecessor, the iPhone X.
It has better performance, longer battery life and some other adjustments to make it more attractive, but the difference is not massive. So, if you already have an iPhone X and want to upgrade, you should already consider the iPhone 11.
Now, if you have to choose between the X and the XS, then we recommend the second one.
