Asus Transformer Book Duet, the hybrid capable of switching from Windows to Android instantly

It's not the first time we see a hybrid device that groups Windows and Android under one body. Asus is one of the manufacturers that is betting more on this route, one that seems to have great support from Intel. The form of these convertibles is usually a mix between a tablet that incorporates a keyboard and an ultrabook. Fortunately good convertibles present the best of both worlds; the touch screen on the one hand and the shape of the laptops on the other.

He Asus Transformer Book Duet presents a multi-touch screen of 13.3 inches with a FULLHD resolution 1920 x 1080 pixels, a size slightly larger than the Transformer Book Trio that they already presented a long time ago but within the margins that portability demands.

Inside we have very interesting specifications, it has a processor i7, 4GB of RAM and a storage divided into two parts, on the one hand the tablet-screen itself has 128GB SSD disk and the keyboard-dock has 1TB. Unfortunately the weight goes to 1.85kg, which is still good if we compare it with some ultrabooks but that does not enter the top of the convertibles. It is also quite thick, the same thickness as the Surface 2.

For the software we have on the one hand Windows 8.1 and other Android 4.2, but the best comes in the form of switching from one to another, where through a simple button we can change the operating system. The time in question would be 4 seconds. An almost instantaneous action that allows change the way you work radically without realizing.

Asus has not created applications that take advantage of this change as if other manufacturers have made, but that facility to switch from one to another is something new. The Transformer Book Duet can be obtained by $ 599, a very competitive price for the options that it presents, although at the moment no date is known. They are a brand with well-finished devices and we do not doubt that this new Transformer will delight those looking for an all-in-one that brings Windows and Android together.
