Once again they have been cascades of leaks which have made us draw in our heads (and in many cases, our computers) the next developments in the high-end Huawei smartphones. With a lot of camera and some uncertainty regarding software, we can make a juicy compilation about everything we think we know about the Huawei Mate 30.
The quote is clear: the September 19th The brand has called the press to unveil the Huawei 30 Mate series, so we expect more than one mobile. Last year there were three Mate 20 with the Huawei Mate 20 Lite, the Huawei Mate 20 and the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, and it looks like we will see at least two terminals.
Touching 7 inches and crowning with a notch higher
Huawei says in the teaser that also announced with the announcement of the event that we expect something faster, bigger and more powerful, and speaking of the screen it is said that it will have a diagonal between 6.6 and 6.8 inches. Resolution FullHD + of 1,176 x 2,400, which will be somewhat strange in the Pro having already climbed up with the previous Mate (and not with the Huawei P30 Pro) but fit with a Mate 30.
The design that began to filter in May (s, already in May) showed a front with a perforated screen, but later there were photographs and allegedly official renders in which we see a notch for the front camera and some ms sensor, being elongated and not "U" or "V".
The previous Mate 20 Pro integrated fingerprint reader on screen with ultrasound technology and yours will continue. In fact, since in the filtered backs we do not see a trace of physical finger sensors (now we will see what is clearly seen in this part), the logical thing is that whether or not ultrasound is integrated into the screen, as it is also a trend in the high Android range.
If so, the Huawei Mate 30 will already have a certain rise with respect to the Huawei Mate 20, which has a fingerprint reader in the back (although it is difficult to distinguish between unofficial or supposedly official renders if they show us the 30 or 30 Pro ). What we saw a few days ago is that the Mate 30 will keep the screen curvy, but they will be more pronounced than the previous ones (almost like the OPPO Waterfall screen). So much so that in fact in the unofficial renders there are not even side buttons on one side.
A large circular module for three or four cameras
Another thing that lets us see the teaser It is a circle that is also drawn in the presentation, and it does not seem coincidental that it is the same shape that characterizes the rear module of cameras that many leaks point that the Mate 30 will have. We will also see it when talking about what was said about the size of the sensor of the Huawei Mate 30 Pro.
There seems to be a lot of people who don't know how big the gap is. I'll draw a picture to tell you that, in fact, Note10 has no chance of beating Mate30 Pro in terms of camera hardware. pic.twitter.com/f8W2kSTLqk

According to what was filtering IceUniverse (which has hit the spot before), the new top of the range of Huawei adds to the RYYB sensor of 40 megapixels and 1 / 1.7 inches that premiered the P30 Pro one newer and especially bigger. This second 40 megapixel sensor will go with the ultra wide angle lens and will have a size of 1 / 1.5 inches, which will approach or reach what we saw in the Nokia Lumia 1020 (1 / 1.55 inch).
Thus, there is talk of cudruple rear camera like that of the P30 Pro, integrating an ultra-wide-angle camera with a 40-megapixel sensor, another 40-megapixel sensor for the standard camera (the RYYB sensor that we decant or a Sony IMX600, maybe depending on the model), a telephoto lens with optical zoom 3x and sensor Time of Flight for depth analysis.
For the Mate 30 standard it seems that there will be four, but three rear cameras. This follows from a seemingly official pster that leaked at the end of August, with what looked like the backs of both mobile, both with the circular module but one with three and the other with four lenses.
From the front or front Nothing has been commented or filtered, so we have to see what integrates that set of sensors that seem to be part of the notch on the screen. Hopefully, along with the hardware, the software accompanies the usual dose of functions and modes that we see in the EMUI camera app, probably with some function related to artificial intelligence (as understood by the manufacturer).
The Mate will continue to take charge of the brand new processor
In the heart of the Huawei Mate 30 we will see the recently released Kirin 990, in principle the version with 5G. Although it will not be far fetched to think about previous releases of this and other brands that only the 5G compatible Mate 30 Pro and Mate 30 took with the 990 satin, or even that later there was a "Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G".
What we talk about is an 8 GB RAM and models with up to 512 GB of internal storage, to which something more is added thanks to the NM memory cards. To feed all this, they have commented on batteries of 4,200 and 4,500 milliamps / hour, with a fast load of 40 watts or even 55 (although this last came from those first leaks of May that we see before).
A lot of filtration, but also a lot of doubt in the air
The question is: what about the software? Huawei remains under the veto that the United States imposed a few months ago and that still with variations and changes remains in force. In fact, as Mate 30 has been known these days they won't be able to have Android or Google apps, according to a spokesperson for the company, since they cannot do business with Huawei without government authorization. Something that Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei, also told us in an interview.
"We are associated with Google, but now the US government has put us in a position where it is impossible to continue using Google Mobile Services in new products in the United States." Richard Yu, Huawei CEO
This does not mean that we are going to see some Mate 30 and 30 Pro with HarmonyOS, the new operating system that the Chinese presented a few weeks ago, since in this same interview Yu explained that the first product with this system "may be the P40 in next spring, maybe next March. " We will see how EMUI 10 arrives in these Mate 30.
