There are several ways to do it, since there are different apps for them. We tell you an easy and simple way, so you don't have to break your head looking for solutions.
How to record your gameplays on Android
Step 1. Choose application
The first thing we have to do is select an app to help us record the application. You can see if your phone includes an app to record the screen, some layers of customization such as EMUI or OxygenOS include it.
Anyway, we will download an app separately to be able to control the options manually and have more control over what we are recording. In our case we have chosenAZ Screen Recorder.A popular app that allows us to easily record the screen and control what we need.
Step 2. Configure resolutions, fps, bitrate, etc.
The second thing we will have to do is configure the resolution and frames per second to which we want to record. We recommend recording at the maximum resolution your mobile allows (it will be defined by the resolution of your screen). In case you have a phone with Quad HD screen (2560 x 1440) or Quad HD + (1440p adapted to 18: 9 or 19: 9 depending on the phone) and you do not want to consume many memory or processor resources, we recommend that you select Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080) or Full HD + (1080p adapted to the same panoramic formats). If your phone is Full HD we recommend that you leave it in that resolution.
We talk about 1080p because it is the current standard on the Internet, although little by little it is beginning to be replaced by 4K, we still see most of the content at 1080p.
Regarding the frames per second (usually referred to by the acronym, fps) the thing is depends on the user. Frames per second are the amount of "photos" that a video plays in a second. A more photos, more fluid.
The cinema standard is 24 frames per second, which are the minimum considered to see an image in a fluid way. On consoles such as the PlayStation, the Xbox or Nintendo consoles have historically moved their games at 30fps, since you need much less resources to do so than 60 frames per second. On the other hand in PC and mobile 60fps have been the standard, since it looks more fluid.
If your phone is powerful enough to move the 60fps, we recommend that you configure it, since 60 frames per second are much appreciated in video games, which usually have a lot of action and movement and you are the one who has to react to that action. To see it, even if you are not the one who plays, it also speeds up the viewer's view.
That is, our recommendation.1080p resolution at 60 frames per second.
Bitrate is the amount of information we have in the video. The higher the number, the better it looks, but more regret. We recommend to put it to the maximum that we can offer (12 Mbits per second in the case of AZ Screen Recorder) or simply leave it in automatic. If you want you have many options we recommend that you look for the balance you want between quality and weight.
The orientation will always be left in automatic so that we play the game we play, it is with the correct resolution and orientation.
Step 3. Record your game
Although all this previous theory may seem very difficult, it is easier than it seems.
Once configured, you can start playing and recording the game. In the case of AZ Screen Recorder, we will see a floating tab to start recording, when we press the button and start recording, disappear. If we want to stop the recording we will have to stop it by displaying the notification bar, where we will have a multimedia notification and we can stop it.
During the recording we can talk, and use the microphone built into the phone to capture the sound. We recommend you play with headphones if you are going to take advantage of the sound, since if you do not also record the sound from the speakers. Ideally, use headphones with a good microphone.
Step 4. Edition
At the end of the recording, the app itself allows us to edit the video a bit (by clicking on the magic wand). You can do, for example, make small clippings in the video (which we do not recommend by the way), extract images, convert into gif, etc. What is practical is to be able to make cuts at times when you do not play, you have remained silent, etc. And of course, the final part where you see that you stop the recording.
If you want something more professional you will have to use some external application to edit video. We recommend that you take a look at our list of best apps to edit video on Android. If you have more advanced knowledge or want something even more professional you can go through an editing program for desktop systems.
And this is it, if you have any questions, you can leave it in the comments.
