When it seemed that Samsung had already announced all its great news in the Samsung Unpacked on August 7, 2019, the South Korean company gave way to its new laptop: the Galaxy Book S. This new computer that joins the Samsung family has a touch screen of 13.3 inches and an incredible battery of up to 23 hours of duration.
But they are not their only strengths. As Samsung describes, the Galaxy Book S "is designed for high-performance users who don't want to be affected by the excessive size and features of traditional laptops." Moreover, the firm insists that this new device "takes advantage of the mobility and connectivity of a smart phone and the powerful productivity of a PC."
Thus, among its features, it should be noted that it offers Gigabit LTE, Windows 10 technology and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx, the world's first 7-meter PC platform created for mobile computing by Qualcomm Technologies.
And, among its benefits, we can underline that, compared to the Galaxy Book 2, it offers a 40% higher CPU performance, an increase in graphics performance of 80% and a greater memory bandwidth. In addition, it does not have fans, so you will not have to worry about overheating.
On the other hand, this new computer has a very portable design given its size and weight, of only 0.96 kg. But it is still robust since it has "built with a top-quality anodized aluminum frame on the top and the base, the Galaxy Book S is protected against the risks that a laptop can usually damage," Samsung details.
Also, the 13.3-inch screen of the Galaxy Book S is 10-point touch or, what is the same, allows "to move, zoom and control the device, with just one finger," explains the company.

As for its powerful battery, Samsung insists that "it can power up to 23 hours of continuous video playback on a single charge." But if you are looking for a large capacity, you would like to know that the Galaxy Book S comes with 8GB of RAM and 256 / 512GB options of internal storage, as well as the possibility of increasing such storage up to 1 TB with a MicroSD.
And for moments of entertainment, the Galaxy Book S includes stereo speakers AKG with studio quality, "while Dolby Atmos elevates and refines the surround audio experience with custom sound modes for movies, music, games and more."
Finally, with the Microsoft Your Phone2 application you can fully connect your Galaxy Book S and the new Galaxy Note 10 so that “you can access your latest photos, applications and notifications, and respond instantly to calls and text messages between devices”.
The Galaxy Book S will be available in two shades, Earthy Gold and Mercury Gray, from this fall (September) in some selected markets. It will cost $ 999 dollars.
