One of the most striking options of the Apple ecosystem is the ability of its devices to transfer files wirelessly through AirDrop technology.
That was not feasible on Android because of the amount of customizations that exist on the Google platform, but now Xiaomi, OPPO and Vivo have reached an agreement to establish a common technology that allows users of their devices to access that file transfer between them with speeds of up to 20 MB per second.

This unique alliance allows users of all types of mobile devices of these manufacturers to send and receive files from image, videos, songs or documents wirelessly and quickly, and without the need for third party applications.
The agreement between Xiaomi, OPPO and Vivo is relevant in the West since these firms already sell many phones here, but it is especially notable in China, where these three manufacturers they have almost 50% joint fee of smartphone sales.
This technology makes use of the Bluetooth connectivity of these devices, and arises shortly after we have learned of the existence of 'Fast Share', an alternative that Google itself proposes and that may begin to be available on Android Q.

Other manufacturers may join that effort, and in fact all eyes are on Huawei, that adding to that movement will make the feature much more noticeable. This manufacturer has a feature called OneHop that presented at the MWC of 2019 and does something similar. It is present for example in EMUI 9.1, which has been available for more than a month.
It is expected that this new option appears to be called "Mobile Direct Fast Exchange" for mobiles of these manufacturers is available at the end of August 2019. It remains to be seen if the movement ends up adding more partners that make Android users finally have a native alternative for that AirDrop that works so well in the Apple ecosystem.
