Sony TVs in 8K LCD of 98 "and 85" and OLED 4K of 77 "presented in # CES2019

Sony today announced the new Z9G 8K LCD and A9G 4K OLED MASTER SERIES TVs. due to the ability to faithfully show the images that give life to the content in the way its creators conceived it. MASTER series is the name given only to the best Sony TVs which provide premium image quality, color, contrast and clarity that resembles that of a professional level monitor. In addition, MASTER series televisions feature Netflix mode Calibrated and IMAX Enhanced to ensure that the content can be viewed in the way it was created.

Both models are integrated with the next generation processor Picture Processor X1 Ultimate which allows to emit precise details and great contrast. This processor, which was introduced last fall with the inaugural MASTER series models, plays a vital role in providing high quality image. The Picture Processor X1 Ultimate has a unique algorithm specially developed so that 8K can intelligently detect and analyze each object on the screen, resulting in exceptional details and contrast to emit more realistic images that represent the intent of the creators. Premium quality sound is also an integral part of the viewing experience, and both A9G and Z9G feature the new Sound-from-Picture Reality It faithfully reproduces the position of the sound on the screen so that, when the actors speak, it seems that the sound comes directly from their mouths and not from a horn at the bottom of the device.

Large TVs Z9G

Large televisions are increasingly popular and Sony's goal with the new Z9G 98 and 85 TVs is to maximize the experience of large screens for the living room. In order to provide premium image quality on such large screens, Sony is introducing additional resolution with its first 8k consumer television. With twice the horizontal and vertical lines, 8K provides four times the 4K pixels (or 16 times the HD resolution). This high resolution results in a more immersive viewing experience, since the 8K resolution means that larger televisions look great near virtually no pixel differentiation.

But the resolution is not the only important thing. As the screen size increases, the processor plays an even more vital role in providing premium image quality. With the use of a patented algorithm, the powerful Picture Processor X1 Ultimate It has been optimized to handle the 33 million 8K pixels, and allow the newly developed 8K X-Reality PRO to use any content at a quality almost equal to that of 8K using a new exclusive database to generate more precise and detailed images . Thanks to its vast experience in the development of professional cameras and monitors, Sony recognizes that the precision in the construction of signal processing components results in a difference immediately visible to the image as a whole.

Also, exclusive and totally new technologies have been developed for the Z9G series, including Backlight Master Drive with local attenuation Full-array and 8K X-tended Dynamic Range PRO. The Backlight Master Drive Z9G has ultra-dense LED modules that are controlled independently, providing unprecedented contrast with striking brightness and high intensity blacks. To get the most out of this 8K backlight system X-tended Dynamic Range PRO uses energy saved to intelligently enhance brightness in areas where it is most needed.

The precise sound position is another key factor as the size of the television increases. Supported by the experience we have obtained from our Acoustic Surface Audio OLED, Sony has expanded the concept to the Z9G LCD TV with Acoustic Multi-Audio. To live the experience Sound-from-Picture Reality, the new Acoustic Multi-Audio Z9G uses four front speakers at the bottom, two at the top to provide a faithful sound position. The viewers will hear how the sound is emitted from the screen and not from where the horn is located. Also, Z9G has the mode TV Center Speaker For people who have home theater, where TV becomes the central horn. In addition, another element that improves the sound experience is Dolby Atmos * 1, which adds a wide and extraordinary sound field (* 1 software update required).

Z9G also has XWide angle to ensure that the image retains its quality regardless of the viewing angle, allowing you to watch TV from various points and reduce color changes when viewing the screen off-axis. Likewise, X-Motion Clarity Minimizes motion blur without sacrificing screen brightness.

TV A9G Premium OLED

A9G is Sony's new 4K OLED flagship TV available in 77, 65 and 55 models with a very thin form factor. Images come alive with the wide viewing angle, precise contrast and absolute blacks of OLED technology. More than 8 million self-illuminated pixels are precisely and individually controlled by Picture Processor X1 Ultimate. In addition to the processor, A9G has a Pixel Contrast Booster to add more color and contrast in bright areas. As a result, A9G provides premium image quality similar to that of professional-level monitors, showing content and colors as they really are and how their creator conceived them. The processor improves SD and HD content to resemble 4K HDR quality and displays 4K content with impressive clarity.

User experience

Both Z9G LCD and A9G OLED feature Sony's Android TV that is compatible with a wide variety of apps on Google Play, including YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Video, Hulu, and more for a solid integration in the smart home (availability varies according to the region).

To make the experience even more bearable for users, a new easy-to-use remote control allows viewers to control their connected devices such as cable / satellite converters, Blu-ray disc players, game consoles (compatible devices vary according to regin) without having to change remote control. In addition to the smart remote control, an RF allows users to control the TV without directing the control. In addition, a new UI provides uncomplicated access to your favorite apps and settings.

These models will be available from June only for some Latin American countries.
