The wait is over for fans of Maluma, one of the best known Colombian singers internationally. Finally, fantastic and curious can enjoy the premiere of the documentary Maluma: What I Was, What I Am, What To Be, a 90-minute movie that is now available for free exclusively on YouTube. An extended version with additional interviews and musical presentations will be available to YouTube Premium subscribers.

The production promises to make this artist known very closely, as well as his history, his struggle and "everything he carries in his heart", and shows Maluma from his humble origins in Colombia and his evolution to becoming an international figure and in one of the people with the most followers on social networks. The documentary, directed by Jessy Terrero, gives us an exhaustive journey through Maluma's past, from its origins in Colombia, to the undeniable success he enjoys today, detailing every stage of his evolution. Exclusive interviews with family and friends of the singer will make us feel part of his circle for a total of 90 minutes.

Title and premiere

As promised, the documentary Maluma: What I Was, What I Am, What To Be It was released on July 5, 2019, as announced during YouTube Brandcast, an event that was enlivened by presentations by Daddy Yankee, Lele Pons and Adam Savage. Other contents that were announced during the event were the third season of the series Kobra Kai (the new version of the classic The Karate Kid) and other successes that come back as Kevin Hart: What the Fit Y Liza on Demand, in addition to new material and more coverage of musical festivals such as Coachella and Lollapalooza.
