Little by little, Apple's projects for the content of its new Apple TV + television platform have begun to be discovered. Now, the firm launched the first trailer of one of its most prominent projects, The morning show, which follows the drama behind the scenes of a morning television news show.

The famous actresses Jennifer Aniston (remembered for the series Friends) and Reese Witherspoon (featured in the series Big little lies) will be responsible for starring and producing the series, together with the company Media Res, by Michael Ellenberg.

The trailer takes the public through the studio where the program is filmed, slowly passing through a door and a desk, with fragments of dialogue from the stars, to which actor Steve Carell joins. According to the video, the character of who returns to the screens for his first leading role since The Office his name is Mitch Kessler (as seen in one of the doors).

You can also see a photo with the characters of Aniston and Carell, who will act as co-hosts of the news program.

The series "open the curtain on the dynamics of power between women and men" in the professional world, according to Witherspoon and Aniston, who in June presented the series during the launch of Apple TV +.

Apple confirm two seasons of 20 episodes of The morning show and, according to some reports, the recording of the first one has ended. In addition, its promotion seems to be taking flight, since Apple also launched accounts for the series on Twitter and Instagram.

The cast is complemented by actors Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Mark Duplass, Billy Crudup and Nestor Carbonell.

The morning show it is the second original Apple TV + series to reveal a trailer, after the debut in June of the advance of For All Mankind, a story set in a world where the international space race does not end. This realization has the award-winning writer of Battlestar Galactica Y Star trek, Ronald D. Moore, as creator and co-writer, along with Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi.

According The Hollywood Reporter, the series co-starring Aniston, Witherspoon and Carell is based on the book Top of the Morning: Inside the Cutthroat World of Morning TV, from CNN reporter Brian Stelter.

The series is described as an internal look at the lives of people who help the United States wake up in the morning, exploring the unique challenges faced by women (and men) who carry out this daily television ritual.

The drama will consist of two consecutive seasons (20 episodes in total). Although the cost of the series is still unknown, several sources claim that it is comparable to other premium rates for productions made up of major recognized stars.

Earlier this year, Wall Street Journal I reported that Apple spend $ 1 billion (1,000 million dollars) on the production of original content for 2018, and large-budget projects like this one, with high-profile stars, seem to be the way they try to spend that money.

Definitely, this budget and the integration of these stars, allows us to think that there will be a notable with respect to their debut projects this year, which include the competition reality show Planet of the Apps Y Carpool Karaoke.

The concept of the series was created by Michael Ellenberg, former EVP of drama development for HBO, who oversees the release of True detective, Westworld, game of Thrones Y Big little lies of Witherspoon, before leaving Network last year.

The Aniston-Witherspoon drama becomes Apple's second direct order to the series and joins Amazing Stories by Steven Spielberg as the first projects that the technology giant has chosen under program leaders Zack Van Amburg and Jamie Erlicht.

The anthology of Amazing StoriesIt is produced by Spielberg in partnership with Bryan Fuller, who serves as a showrunner. The drama transport the audience to worlds of wonders through the lens of today's most imaginative filmmakers, directors and writers. Darryl Frank, Justin Falvey and Hart Hanson, executives of Amblin Television, they produce the drama of Universal Television.

The release dates of Amazing Stories Y The morning show have not yet been determined.
