Top Shot is now the main photo mode of Google Camera

To begin we will explain what each option allows us. Smart burst It is a feature that allows you to shoot up to ten photos per second by pressing and holding the shutter button. A very useful option as soon as we are in an action situation as a sport or when you have to capture a moment accurately. If we capture ten, fifteen or twenty photos, then we can choose the one we like the most and the one that is best.

With the output of Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL was presented Top ShotThis functionality works completely different but the result is to achieve the same. The idea of Top Shot is that when shooting a photo, the phone automatically also captures the moments before and after. In this way you can then access a menu and choose the best one, even the phone itself through artificial intelligence will recommend the ones you consider best.

Smart Burst replaced by Top Shot in Pixel 3

It seems that Google does not take a step back with its new camera technologies. Google wants Smart Burst to be replaced by Top Shot. Of course, only for Pixel 3, since Pixel 2 did not receive Top Shot.

In version 6.3 of the Google camera, apart from bringing the modeNight sight(camera night mode) to the main screen, it seems that you have removed Smart Burst in Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL in “pro” of the new Google technology. That is what they tell us in the release notes.

Google declares that Top Shot is a much better, more efficient technology and does not fill your photo phone and takes up space. In addition to having the comfort of being able to choose from Top Shot with Google recommendations and not having to choose manually among the forty photos you have taken at a time when your nephew was scoring a goal in his football game or the twenty photos that You have done when your mother has blown the candles of her birthday cake.

What do you think of this? Do you think Top Shot is a good replacement for Smart Burst? Or that we should have both?
