Why we choose the Nikon D850:If you had to buy a single DSLR, you should choose the D850. Nikon equip this camera with so many functions, which is the most versatile digital SLR camera you can buy. The 45.7 megapixel full-frame sensor must satisfy a wide range of photographers, and support for 4K (UHD) at 30p makes it a capable video camera. The 153-point autofocus system within the D850 is fast and accurate, with the ability to capture up to 7 fps in burst mode and up to 9 fps when Nikon battery coupling is added. The camera body is sealed against the weather and works together with Nikkor lenses to keep rain or dust away from the fragile internal elements of the camera and lenses.Nikon put its Snapbridge 2.0 wireless connectivity system on the D850, which uses Bluetooth to handle low-level features with a smart phone, such as transferring reduced photos that you can use for the web, or uploading them to the cloud. Another advanced feature is the compatibility with the XQD flash memory, which is faster than the SDXC card, which is useful for sports and action photographers. In short, Nikon threw the house out the window. The D850 is at the top of its class, with no signs of becoming obsolete in the near future. Its image quality conquers us, and it is one of the best DSLR digital cameras you can buy.
Canon EOS 5D Mark IV
The best full-frame DSLR
Why should you buy it? This full frame versatile camera offers a fast and 4K autofocus.
Who is it for?: For photographers who are moving to the world of full-frame photography
Why we choose the Canon 5D Mark IV:Full-frame cameras, or full-frame, tend to be well built in all its components, and there are many excellent options, but Canon EOS 5D Mark IV is one of our favorites. For its price, it presents a large amount of Canon's latest technology, within a camera body that is not much larger than the high-end DSLR APS-C cameras, which is ideal for sports or activity photographers. Fast movement, they need to run or carry several cameras with them. In our hands, the camera felt comfortable holding, especially during a full day of filming, from morning until night. The 5D Mark IV is a full-frame camera that attracts professionals and enthusiasts, particularly those who enter full-frame for the first time.
In addition to a newly developed 30-megapixel full-frame sensor, and the latest image processor (Digic 6+), the 5D Mark IV uses a 61-point autofocus system and Canon's dual-pixel AF system, which provides a fast autofocus when in live view mode. The camera also features Dual Pixel RAW, which allows correction of focus errors. Even when we tested it in the dim darkness of dawn and dusk, we saw that the autofocus was fast and accurate. The camera also has a faster continuous shooting, at 7 fps (no limit when using JPEG), and is the first 5D series model that includes Wi-Fi / NFC and GPS. Dual card slots (CompactFlash and SD) allow you to save images in RAW format in one, and JPEG to another, simultaneously.
The 5D Mark II camera made the DSLR movie trend more popular. Although the 5D series is no longer the standard carrier, Canon took the 4K video capture to the 5D Mark IV. The camera records very good videos, particularly at Full HD 1080 at 60fps, but the 4K video is clipped and the camera does not support 4K outputs via HDMI, so videographers can find the 5D Mark IV limitation for a stream of 4K work. The last Canon 5D is a full-frame stellar and versatile camera that adapts to many photographers, whether on the move or in the studio. Although it has some disadvantages in the video, it is a strong camera for videography. If you are looking for a camera with a faster burst speed, you should consider the Canon EOS-1D X Mark II or the Nikon D5. For high resolution still images, the Canon EOS 5DS is more suitable for portrait work and studio photography, but for everything else, the 5D Mark IV is our choice.
Canon EOS Rebel T7i
The best priced DSLR
Why should you buy it? For its performance, features and ease of use, all in an affordable package.
Who is it for? For those who buy a DSLR for the first time.
Why do we choose the Canon EOS Rebel T7i? The Rebel T7i may be 2 years old, but it is still the best Canon Rebel. Manufactured around the same sensor and autofocus systems as the more expensive EOS 80D, the T7i has a great impact in the case of an entry-level camera. In our review, we found that its 45-point viewfinder autofocus was easily maintained at the same rate as the competing aircraft in the Red Bull Air Race, while the dual-pixel autofocus on the sensor worked almost flawlessly for the video. and capturing live images. With a burst speed of 7 frames per second, you won't have trouble keeping up with your child's minor league game either.
But performance is not the only thing that makes the T7i a great camera. It also incorporates the new function assistant menu system, which guides beginners through the different exposure modes and settings, offering illustrated explanations of the aperture effects and shutter speeds. This makes the T7i as accessible as it is powerful, and is truly one of the most complete cameras available for beginners and fans with limited budgets.
Canon EOS 80D
Best digital rflex for video
Why should you buy it? It has a great automatic live view approach, articulated touch screen and decent battery life.
Who is it for? Video-focused DSLR photographers who don't need 4K resolution
Why do we choose the Canon EOS 80D?
Canon's dual pxel autofocus offers excellent performance while recording videos, something many other DSLR cameras struggle with. The quality of the video is good, although it is not better than what you will find in cameras without a mirror of similar price today. However, the fact that it has a folding screen makes it easy to use and offers good flexibility for vloggers and YouTubers.
While the Canon EOS 80D is a solid digital SLR camera for video, there are some features that are missing, most obviously: the popular 4K video. The best mirrorless cameras usually offer more functions for video, such as 4K resolution, electronic viewfinders, image stabilization in the body in many professional models and file types and color profiles that you won't find in the 80D.
Video autofocus also tends to be better in a mirrorless camera, and it is here that the 80D sports its Canon dual-pixel auto focus. If you are a fan of the digital SLR camera, but you need a capable video camera, the 80D's autofocus is a good option.
But why not opt for the cheaper Rebel T7i? After all, use the same sensor and focusing systems. You can definitely use the T7i: it is a good choice to produce equal results. The reason we opted for the high-end 80D here is reduced to the battery. It uses the highest capacity LP-E6N battery, with 1,865mAh, compared to the 1,050mAh LP-E17 battery of the T7i, which means more recording time and less time to change the batteries.
