The next phone of the Huawei Mate series will probably be called Huawei Mate 30, and it is more than certain that it will also arrive alongside a Pro model. If we rely on the company's previous releases, these devices can be revealed during the second half of 2019. However, there is no official information in this regard, since Huawei is still in the midst of a strong situation with the US government. But that has not stopped a series of rumors and leaks that give us a better idea about the new devices. This is all we know so far about the next two phones of the Chinese company: the Huawei Mate 30 and Huawei Mate 30 Pro.
When will Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro arrive? After much speculation, Huawei has finally confirmed the launch of the new Mate 30 for September 19 in Munich. The Mate 20 series was launched in October 2018, so many expected the new generation to arrive more or less in that same period in autumn, but in the end Mate 30 has advanced, and the company announced it on its social networks saying that the countdown has already begun.

Taking into account the confrontation between Huawei and the US government and that in China smart phones do not have Google services installed, running modified versions of Android, it is assumed that Huawei may also take advantage of this event to inform about the development of its own mobile operating system, although it is not expected to be available until 2020.
Huawei flagship phones are known for their excellent cameras and we hope the Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro are no different. However, the Mate 30 Pro could wear a type of camera lens never seen before. Lets Go Digital has discovered a registered trademark of Huawei for the names “Cine-Lens” and “Camera Matrix”. The Camera Matrix option could be linked to the Time-of-Flight sensor, indicating additional work in the depth detection technology we saw in the P30 Pro.
But it is the trademark Cine-Lens the most interesting, which we hope will refer to a kinematic lens that specializes in video capture and works particularly well on objects that move at high speed. This type of lens is extremely expensive, so it is more likely that the Mate 30 Pro has a modified version focused on the photo. Yet, with the high standard of Huawei cameras, we are excited to see what to offer.
Otherwise, the camera on the back of the phone may be similar to the one we have seen in the P30 Pro, equipped with a powerful 50x digital zoom and a 5x optical zoom function.
Unusual array of cameras
A series of photos that apparently show the Huawei Mate 30 came to light and the images give us a better view of the unusual array of cameras on the back of the device. Published in Slashleaks, the photos present a phone design similar to other images previously filtered and published by other sources. There are three photos that show the next Huawei flagship phone from the side and the back. Unfortunately, there are no photos of the front.
Looking at the phone from the back, you can see how the Mate 30 is an evolution of the Mate 20 Pro, which had a square camera array containing three lenses. Here, in the filtered phone, an elongated version of this matrix of camera lenses is seen, with rounded corners.
The photos are quite dark and it is not easy to distinguish at first glance how many lenses are in the phone, but when lighting the image, it seems that there are four lenses, a flash unit and an unidentified sensor. The trademarks presented by Huawei in early 2019 suggest that you can use the names Cine-Lens and Camera Matrix for the lenses and functions of the Mate 30 Pro camera.
On the side, the Mate 30 looks thinner than the Mate 20 Pro, but there is a thicker camera bulge to house all those lenses. The power buttons added a red color, which was also used in the Mate 20 Pro. It should be noted that, as with all rumors and unofficial leaks, even if these images are real they may not be the final version of the device, but for now they wake up expectation of what to bring Huawei.
The cameras can annihilate those of the Galaxy Note 10
In August 2019, the usually reliable Ice Universe account shared an image that seemed to confirm that the camera of the Huawei Mate 30 Pro will have two 40-megapixel sensors. This surpasses in a sweeping way the sensor of the Galaxy Note 10, which is only 12 megapixels.
There seems to be a lot of people who don & # 39; t know how big the gap is. I & # 39; ll draw a picture to tell you that, in fact, Note10 has no chance of beating Mate30 Pro in terms of camera hardware. pic.twitter.com/f8W2kSTLqk

“It seems that there are many people who don't know how big the gap in photographic skills is. The Note 10 has no chance of beating Mate 30 Pro in terms of camera hardware, ”said the publication through its Twitter account.
How to be the Mate 30 Pro? A series of rendered images of the versions of the possible design shows the phone with an evolution of the configuration of the Mate 20 square camera, which continues the 2019 trend of alternately accommodated camera lens assemblies.
The Mate 20 and the Mate 20 Pro were among the first phones with a peculiar set of camera lenses, which were arranged in a square mounted on the top center. However, in the Mate 30 Pro this could be transformed into a rectangular set, and can contain four camera lenses on the central back of the phone.
In the front, the Mate 30 Pro may share some similarities with the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus. The images show very thin bezels, a curved screen, and a double lens selfie camera inside a perforation on the screen, a style known as "hole-punch." As for the style, red, blue and black versions are shown, which seem pretty basic for a new Huawei phone. However, it is good to remember that these designs are not official and may not be genuine representations of the final appearance that these phones will have when they go on the market.
The last leaks from Weibo's hand, which were subsequently removed, show us some more details about the Mate 30. Specifically, according to these images, Huawei's new flagship phone will resemble, in design, the Galaxy S10.
In fact, it will come with curved edges and a small or minimal central notch for the camera. Also, according to this image, the Mate 30 could also arrive with a kind of protection on the upper and lower edges, but these leaks are best taken with caution.
It is very likely that there is also a 5G version of the Mate 30, as Huawei Business Group president Richard Yu said in an interview with Digital Trends in early 2019. The smart phone will probably use Huawei's Balong 5000 5G modem, together with the Kirin 985 processor or even its successor, depending on whether the company makes changes in the time frame of its next generation mobile chip.
The camera in the back can echo what we have seen in the P30 Pro, and arrive equipped with a powerful 50x digital zoom and a 5x optical zoom function. The only other rumor in terms of specifications so far refers to the battery, which will have a capacity of 4,200 mAh and Huawei's new 55 W SuperCharge system, which will debut in the Mate X folding phone.
