Convert with Adobe Acrobat
Using Acrobat is the best way to ensure that the conversion result is as accurate. However, you must have a paid version of Acrobat to use this method. Although Adobe offers a seven-day free trial of Adobe Acrobat Document Cloud (DC), it is designed to prevent you from repeatedly registering, so you should see it as an option for a single occasion.
If you want to convert regularly, you must pay the full version, which costs approximately $ 15 per month as part of an annual plan, or as part of an Adobe Creative Cloud package.
Step 1: Open the PDF document you want to convert in Adobe Acrobat. Depending on your configuration, PDF files can be opened automatically in Acrobat.
Step 2: in the right panel, find and select the option PDF export.
Step 3: click on Microsoft Word, which will present you with formatting options: Word 97-2003 (.doc) and Word 2013-2016 (.docx). If you choose.docx, you can press the setup gear and set additional options, such as the ability to retain floating text. When you have chosen the format and adjusted the settings, press the button To export.
Step 4: Adobe automatically start text recognition during this step. Although it does not always work perfectly, for most legible texts it is an ideal solution. However, you may need to perform additional quick formatting in the resulting Word document.
Step 5: Set a name for the new Word file and save it in the location you want.
Convert with Microsoft Word
If you have Office, Microsoft Word is an excellent free way to convert PDF files to Word documents. Anyway, consider that the format is not always the most appropriate and the text is sometimes inaccurate. In that sense, if you have Acrobat or don't mind trying an online converter, we suggest you use options if the file is unusable.
Step 1: To start, open Word and click on Archive. This opens a new window: look at the menu bar on the left, where the options for Archive they are probably in Information. Choose Open, which is located above the section Information.
Step 2: at the beginning, the screen Open Only show the recent Word documents that you have accessed on that computer, but not show any PDF. If you look under Recent, see options for searching documents in Personal (OneDrive files) and Other locations (the local hard drive, etc.). Choose one of these alternatives and Word should show you the Word and PDF files it finds in those locations.
Step 3: Select the PDF you want to convert, just as you would with a Word file. The application will display a notification warning that you convert the PDF into an editable Word document. It may take a while and may not look exactly like the original PDF. If all is well, press To accept.
Step 4: The application convert the PDF document to a Word file and open it. Check the format and make sure you can edit the document, without the graphics or text behaving strangely.
