Amazon presents second generation of Fire TV Cube

Last year, Amazon surprised us with an incredibly easy-to-use and intuitive device for the user: the Fire TV Cube. This device is part of the Fire line, the one that Amazon has created to complement your TV with a streaming device. The Fire TV Cube arrives then renewed this year within the framework of the IFA 2019 technology fair with several new features that you will like.

To start, be faster than ever. The first generation gave us results in a few seconds after having asked Alexa with voice commands to reproduce specific content. A Hexa core processor is responsible for the increase in speed, but also responsible for making the experience as smooth as possible, providing Dolby Vision content of 60 frames per second in 4K Ultra HD. Local commands such as Alexa swipe to the right or Alexa swipe down, will be executed more quickly by the virtual assistant. With these improvements in its specifications, the new Fire TV Cube manages to be twice as fast as its predecessor.

The Fire TV Cube has not changed its appearance. It is still a black cube with small rubber feet on the bottom and four buttons on the top. A line of light on the front side indicates to the user that he has awakened Alexa and is ready to obey his instructions.

Some important features that this new version of Fire TV Cube has preserved are its eight microphones that allow the virtual assistant to listen to you without having to shout at you. But these have an improvement in the second generation. Advanced beamforming technology, allows the system to control the radio frequency of the eight headphones individually, eliminating noise in the environment so that Alexa can hear well what exactly the user is saying, without having to raise the voice more than normal to activate the assistant.

The new Fire TV Cube retains infrared technology, HDMI ports, Ethernet support, A / V receiver, cloud-based protocols, as well as the ability to control other smart devices in the home. In addition to the Fire TV Cube, Amazon updated the Fire TV Stick and the Fire TV Stick 4K, as well as a new line of Fire TV Edition TVs with built-in Alexa.

Keeping its cost of $ 119.99 dollars on Amazon, the new Fire TV Cube will be available in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany and Japan.
