As part of the novelties that it brings at the IFA 2019 technology fair, Acer held its next @ acer event in which it presented four Chromebooks that were created with families, students and small business owners in mind.
These four devices that offer Gigabit Wi-Fi come in three different sizes, seeking to offer versatility in terms of display, portability and good battery to fit the specific needs of each individual, business or family, with applications that cover tasks from creating budgets to Communication and fun. Not sure what to do? Say Hey, Google to put the Google Assistant into action, who will help you send emails, search for documents, listen to music, access the calendar or even control your smart home devices.
Each user can access the device with their own account, to keep their information and files safe and away from prying eyes, even if the device is lost. Google Drive stores your files, documents and photos in the cloud, and the Chrome OS operating system is fast and secure, thanks to its automatic updates.
The four have two first-generation USB 3.1 Type-C ports that are used to charge, transfer data and connect them to an HD display. They also include two USB Type C ports, two USB 3.1 and a MicroSD card reader. All include a front HD webcam for video calls. In terms of performance, the four promise to last a whole day of constant use of applications, streaming video and more, thanks to Intel Celeron N4000 two-core processors and Intel Celeron N4100 four-core (the Acer Chromebook 315 also offers the option of an Intel Pentium Silver N5000), plus a battery that lasts between 10 and 12.5 hours, depending on the model.
Two large and productive Chromebooks
Two of the four models available have large screens that you can use even in bright environments, thanks to their anti-glare monitors.
The Acer Chromebook 315, with its large 15.6-inch screen, and the Acer Chromebook 314, 14-inch, will be available with a Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080) with IPS technology and wide viewing angles, both in touch models and in the non-tactile. Their designs feature relatively thin bezels around the screens. In addition, the Acer Chromebook 315 has a dedicated numeric keypad, ideal for small business owners looking for a friendly keyboard to carry out their online financial transactions.
Two compact and portable Chromebook
While you're looking for something compact to take everywhere, Acer has two options: the Chromebook 311 and the Acer Chromebook Spin 311, both with 11.6-inch screens.
The Acer Chromebook 311 has a traditional laptop design; It only weighs 1.06 kilos, the screen has IPS technology and there is a touch or non-touch option.
On the other hand, the Acer Chromebook Spin 311 is a 360-degree convertible model. Its HD touch screen can be used in four different modes: tablet, laptop, screen or tent. It also includes a rear camera that captures 1080p video. Its weight is only 1.2 kilos and you can buy it with an optional Wacom EMR Stylus pen to draw pictures, take notes and do other things directly on the screen.
