L hopes is over: after postponing the launch for several months, Samsung has just officially announced that the Galaxy Fold will arrive in September.
In a note published tonight in its official blog, Samsung explains that it has made numerous improvements to the Galaxy Fold's hardware, including the extension of the upper protective layer of the screen (taking it beyond the frame), additional reinforcements for greater protection against dust and other particles, but also new protective layers applied in the area of the upper and lower hinge.
I can't wait any longer for the arrival of the Galaxy Fold!
Samsung has also added additional layers of metal under the screen to reinforce it and has even reduced the space between the fold and the body of the Galaxy Fold. Finally, in addition to solving hardware problems, the South Korean manufacturer took advantage of the delay to optimize most applications in the new user interface reserved for the folding smartphone.
"Samsung appreciates the support and patience received from fans around the world. Galaxy Fold is a device that matters a lot to us and we are proud to share it with everyone" – Samsung
With the final tests almost finished, the company says to launch the Galaxy Fold in some markets starting in September and that more details about its availability will be released shortly.
