Nubia has been trying to establish itself as a brand of cell phones focused on video games and the Nubia Red Magic 3 takes a step forward in this direction. I tried the previous version calledNow cheaper and without doubt the company seems to have heard the main complaints from users and ourselves.
In a world in which theof Xiaomi tries to break through and where the It was one of the first cell phones specially designed for video games and that continues to give the battle Nubia does not seem to have it very easy.
Cell phones for video games try to specialize in improving refrigeration, giving us environments specially designed for video games and allowing us to change the use of the internal resources of the cell phone, both the GPU and the CPU. The Nubia Red Magic 3 improves several aspects in relation to its predecessors and gives us a better screen that differentiates it from high-end cell phones that are also ideal for playing, such as, the , the , among others of higher price and good specifications.

Price and availability
The Nubia Red Magic 3 with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage in black or red colors is priced at US $ 479. The company will launch a special version of 12GB + 256GB later, but its final price is still unknown.
This cell phone can add several accessories, including the Pro Handle that includes a special case for the cell phone and the left control for a price of US $ 39.99, as well as the Magic Adapt, a base that allows you to connect the cell phone to a 100MB LAN , and that also gives us a port for headphones and a USB port to connect a monitor. The price of this is US $ 46.90.
Design: similar to its predecessors
The Nubia Red Magic 3 maintains the metallic design of its predecessors, which makes us have a slightly cold cell phone in our hands at all times. As part of the evolution we have that it grows in size up to 6.65 inches, its predecessor was 5.99 inches, and now that screen can be configured so that its refresh rate is 90Hz, something that is still lower than the screen of the, whose refresh rate is 120Hz.
Why is this detail important? The refresh rate is the number of images that a screen shows per second. Cell phones traditionally include 60Hz, which was what the predecessors of this cell phone included. Even Black Shark 2 does not improve this aspect, although it is the tactile response, and the reason why this detail is of interest is because in video games every second counts, and the rapid reaction to actions that happen in history can make difference between life and death.
This cell phone includes a rear fingerprint sensor, a multicolored LED strip of light that you can activate to play, double ventilation output, USB Type port, headphone port, double front and bottom speaker and button to activate the video game mode.
Unfortunately, this phone has a single rear camera and a front camera, although something you appreciate are its two side buttons, in addition to a port that allows you to connect accessories that are sold separately.
We have tested it in black, although it also comes in red and camo. My personal experience with the cell phone in hand is that its edges are somewhat uncomfortable when you use it as a phone, but when you turn it horizontally it is easy to hold.
Nubia has improved its game space, better known as Game Space 2.0. The physical button to activate it is maintained, but the internal menu to be able to handle all the details of the adjustment of the cell phone when you are playing is no longer in the Android taskbar, but now it is displayed from the screen itself from the bottom of the cell phone with a gesture towards the center.
As you can see in the image, the panel can give us the information of the internal temperature of the cell phone, the data that we are using, allows us to activate the 4D vibration mode for each game in which it is available and also allows us to map the buttons of right and left inside the screen, although these can also perform any other action if you place them on top of the exact place where the game places that button.
This is very efficient for games like PUBG Mobile where you have different buttons to execute different tasks, although not for Crossy Road. As you can see in the image you can also decide whether to block the entry of messages and operate the internal fan.
If you are not in the game, the cell phone gives you other options in a Personal Center, where you can decide the settings of the fan, the LED bar and receive help to understand how this space works.
In my experience, the game area has made an important leap. The interface is easier to use, and also allows you to take screenshots and record the game quickly and easily.
The audio of the telephone with its two speakers is good with and without headphones. The company has incorporated DTS 7.1 and 3D technology, which creates a more immersive experience. Of course, this cell phone does not have Hi-Fi compatibility like theof the main brand.
