Gmail for Android and Google Tasks are integrated Finally!

After the death of Inbox Google has an arduous task ahead, convincing those who used their old mail service that Gmail is just as good, or more. For this, the Gmail application for Android is improving considerably in recent weeks.

The latest update, which is already available in the Google Play Store, integrates task management with the application of Google Tasks, which we can also download from the store.

In this way we can convert emails into tasks with a couple of clicks, also having cross access between applications.

How to create a task from an email

When creating a new pending task, it is normal that we do it from an email, having received some type of order or request.

What we will do while we have the mail open is click on the options icon, in the upper right corner. If we have the Google Tasks app installed, the last option will be Add to Tasks.

If we press we will be notified on the screen that a new task has been created, but we will continue in Gmail. If we click on View, the Tasks app will open and show us the data of this new task, which we can obviously edit without problems.

How to go from homework to original mail

It is also possible within the task app, where we have put the necessary data, jump directly to the email from which the task comes.

To do this we must click on the email icon with the same text as the subject of the email. Gmail will open at the exact point where we created the task.

It is appreciated that Google improves productivity and now only remains that the reminders are also integrated into these types of applications, as they were in Inbox.
