CITY OF MXICO Huawei wants to bring innovation to the mid-range with the launch of the Huawei Y9 Prime, a phone that has no eyebrow and has no hole in the screen for the front camera.
The innovation in this phone lies in the form of implementation of its front camera: it hides it in its upper frame and is only shown when activated to take a self-portrait in photo or video. This implementation allows the absence of a notch or cut the screen can be larger without increasing the overall body of the device. Huawei says the front camera can be activated up to 100,000 times without fail.
The mechanical or retractable cameras have gained strength this year, after since 2017 and all 2018 the front cameras were hidden in notches on the screen or in holes. The mechanical cameras offer an alternative to avoid the use of these cuts on the screen and as a measure of what the technology matures so that a camera can be placed under the screen.
