The screens are growing more and more, to the point that we are almost starting to get out of hand (almost literally), a few days ago Lenovo presented a 6.8-inch phone and now arrives Alcatel Onetouch Xess, a tablet with a 17.3-inch screen (My first television was 15!), A size that makes us really wonder if it can be considered a tablet.
Presented at the IFA in Berlin, these are the device specifications:
- IPS LDC screen of 17.3 inches with a resolution of 1080 × 1920 pixels
- MediaTek MT8783T eight-core 1.5 GHz processor
- 2 GB of LPDDR3 RAM
- 32 GB of internal storage expandable via SD up to 64 GB
- 5 MP front camera
- 416.5 x 266.5 x 9.15 mm
- Dual 3 watt speakers
- 10,000 mAh battery
The tablet has a support on its back that allows you to easily support the device, and you can graduate to 75th, 50th and 30th to adjust it to what you are doing: drawing, cooking or just watching a movie on its huge screen.
The Alcatel Onetouch Xess includes a stylus with which you can draw in your SketchBook application and includes gestural controls that allow you to use the tablet without touching the screen, something thought of kitchen fans who do not want to pring their device when they carry dirty hands, as well as an application to Perform Musical Mix designed for amateur DJs.
In addition, a series of accessories will be launched that will include keyboards and mice to IP cameras, docks, speakers and of course cases. For now, Alcatel has not ruled on the availability or price of its huge tablet.
