Samsung Launch the Galaxy Note10 and Galaxy Note10 + device series within a few hours. These phones will be powered by a new mobile processor: the Exynos 9825. Before the Galaxy Unpacked event in New York, Samsung introduced the new chipset Exynos 9825, its first 7 nm mobile EUV processor.
The predecessor of this model, the Exynos 9820 (Galaxy S10 series) is a 8 nm processor. So the biggest change here is development in a smaller node. The biggest improvements with that change are a Increase in performance and energy efficiency.
Characteristics of Exynos 9825
The Exynos 9825 It is far from being the first 7 nm processor in the industry. But nevertheless, s is the first to use the EUV (extreme ultraviolet lithography) development process. Samsung says EUV allows them to use “Extreme ultraviolet wavelengths to print thinner circuits and develop a more efficient processor in terms of energy". This process is the main reason why Qualcomm commissioned the manufacture of its next high-end chipset from Samsung.
The Exynos 9825 is a processor of eight cores. It consists of 2 custom cores 4th generation (Cheetah), 2 Cortex-A75 cores and 4 Cortex-A55 cores. The configuration in this sense is identical to that of Exynos 9820. The clock frequencies of the cores were not revealed, but it seems that they will remain the same. The new SoC also uses the same GPU ARM Mali-G76 MP12 than its predecessor. Supports encoding and decoding of 8K / 30 fps or 4K UHD / 150 fps.
Samsung says the 9825 bring a improved gaming experience and somewhat higher graphical performance, in conjunction with a greater energy efficiency. This means that the updated chip has a greater focus on improving efficiency that in significantly increasing the numbers obtained in benchmark tests, although the slight improvement in power is there.

The new processor also has a Integrated NPU for tasks such as AI-assisted photography. Admits Internal storage in UFS 3.0 and UFS 2.1 formats and also RAM LPDDR4x. The SoC has a modem 4G LTE Built-in, but can be combined with the Modem Exynos 5100 to add the ability to 5G connectivity
The Exynos 9825 supports dual camera (16MP + 16MP), a front camera of 22MP and a rear camera of 22MP. It is also compatible with screens 4K UHD (4096 x 2160) and WQUXGA screens (3840 x 2400).
For those who are disappointed with the continuity in the CPU and GPU cores, it may be best to set their eyes on the Exynos flagship chipset next year. This future processor should present the new cores Cortex-A76 or Cortex-A77. It will also integrate its first and highly anticipated mobile GPU developed in association with AMD.
