Google continues to improve one of its most important applications, and at the same time one of the most unnoticed. We refer to Gboard, the default Google keyboard installed on most phones.
In this case the news is for beta users, who as always are the first to try new features that will then reach the other versions.
A larger keyboard for multimedia elements
The first change, and the most visual, is what makes the keyboard grows in size when we are choosing a visual element instead of writing
When we open the section of emoticons or stickers, we will see that the height of the keyboard is greater, which makes it more comfortable to choose a figure to incorporate it into our message.
However, this function is not being sent to all beta users, but is part of an A / B test that will allow Google to study user behavior to decide if it implements this in the stable version.
Dictionary export and import
Another novelty allows us to save dictionaries with the words that we have added in our mobile. We can export them and send them to other users, who can include them in their mobiles.
For this we have to go to the languages section and in Dictionaries select the one we want to save. A file will be created that we can send as any other file.
To do this we must click on the icon of the three points in the upper right corner within each dictionary.
The last change is minor, and is in the incognito mode. Now we will see an icon in the upper right corner of the keyboard when we are using it, which will give us access to other functions.
These functions are within the beta version 8.4.2 that you can install from APK Mirror since the version of the Play Store is 8.4.3 and does not allow you to install previous versions.
