The Android tablet market is currently in the doldrums. However, Samsung is a company capable of waging war on its own, and continues with the preparations for its new tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4.
This will be the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4
Thanks to an exclusive Sammobile we can know how Samsung's next high-end tablet will be. This is the successor to the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, a tablet that we could try last year, and that we loved.
A few weeks ago we knew the first filtered image of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4. The exclusive Sammobile confirms to some extent that this leak was not badly routed.
Analysis of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3: the best of tablets, made for everything
We tested Samsung's latest high-end tablet, the Galaxy Tab S3. A tablet that serves everything: notebook, canvas, screen, reader …
The 10.5 inch screen in panoramic format (instead of 4: 3) appears. Of course, it is Super AMOLED with 2K resolution, something predictable, since it was not going to have a worse screen than its predecessor. It also has the processor Snapdragon 835, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
Specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4
- Super AMOLED 10.5-inch screen, in 16:10 format. Resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels.
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor.
- 4 GB of LPDDR4X RAM.
- 64 GB of internal storage.
- USB 3.1, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi AC.
- 13 MPx rear camera.
- 8 MPx front camera.
- 7300 mAh battery
- Speakers signed by AKG.
- Support for Samsung Dex.
- Iris scanner. You will not have a fingerprint reader.
- New SPen pencil.
- Android 8.1 Oreo.
Iris, Samsung Dex and new SPen scanner
Perhaps most interesting is the confirmation that will not have fingerprint reader. It seems that Samsung will bet all its security on the iris scanner, technology that we already know about the Samsung Galaxy Note and S. Probably, combined with facial recognition.
Another interesting issue is that this tablet will be compatible with Samsung Dex. In case it does not sound like you, Samsung Dex is a charging station that allowed us to convert Samsung phones into desktops, through an HDMI cable and USB ports for peripherals. We do not know if you will use the Samsung Dex Pad, but it would be curious if the touch screen itself could function as a keyboard and trackpad in that PC mode.
They also indicate in Sammobile that this tablet will have a new S Pen, although they do not know if it will be the same that Samsung ends up using in the Galaxy Note 9.
At the moment we do not know the date of presentation of this tablet, but it could be presented during the IFA 2018.
Galaxy Note 8 analysis: A year later, it is still a mobile phone
Almost a year after its presentation we return to analyze the Galaxy Note 8, a mobile that has a lot to offer despite the weather.
