As expected, the Galaxy Note 10 has an official price somewhat higher than the Galaxy S10 had on the day of its launch last February. Thus, the Note 10 has been put up for sale for a price of 959, 50 ms than the model of the S range.
Now, you can get the new flagship for 100 less if you deliver your old mobile when you buy it. In any case, you can book it on the official Samsung website or on Amazon. On the other hand, if you opt for the S10, you will find it in stores like Fnac.

3. Design and performance
As for the design, although there are many similarities between the Galaxy S10 and the Note 10, there are two differences that are worth noting: the absence of the S Pen pencil in the S10 and the fact that the Note 10 has no port Jack for headphones
According to Samsung, this decision has been made to make the phone thinner. In any case, this means that you should use headphones that can connect to the USB C port, use an adapter or simply buy some Bluetooth helmets.
Continuing with the features, the Note 10 is compatible with the latest Wi-Fi 6 standard, which means it can last longer than the S10. However, this is surely not a decisive element to buy the new flagship.
If you look at the distribution of the cameras, the Note 10 places the rear cameras vertically on the left, such as the iPhone or Huawei P30, instead of a horizontal configuration as in the S10.
In the front, the camera selfie it is located in the middle in Note 10 instead of in the right corner, but it is still a hole in the screen instead of a notch. The buttons are still on the left side with the SIM slot on top.
There have been changes in the range of colors in which the Samsung flagship is available. Thus, the Note 10 can be purchased in Aura Glow, Aura Black and Aura Pink, while the colors of the S10 are: Prism White, Prism Green and Prism Black.
The Note 10 screen also shows some differences. The 6.3-inch Infinity-O screen manages to occupy much more body surface than the S10, which has a 6.1-inch panel. Thus, the screen-to-body ratio of Note 10 is 947%.
Other features that have changed in Note 10 have done so to reduce the price, which means that they are not as advanced. The screen resolution of the Note 10 is lower: a Full HD + screen in front of the Quad HD + of the S10.
However, the panels are AMOLED in both cases, which means that the difference for practical purposes is minimal. Note users, however, may know that they miss the heart rate monitor and the Bixby button.
Internal components
In general terms, the internal components of both phones are the same. Thus, both are compatible with Bluetooth 5.0 with aptX, ANT +, NFC, GPS and wireless charging, and include 8 GB of RAM and Snapdragon 855 or Exynos 9820 depending on the region.
The main difference is found in the storage space options. Although neither can be used with a microSD card, the S10 can be purchased with 128 GB or 512 GB of memory, while the Note 10 only with 256 GB.
Another small difference in the specifications of both phones is that the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner embedded in the Note 10 screen is located about 33 mm higher than in the S10 for ergonomic reasons.
Cameras
While the new Note 10+ s features a new flight time camera to add depth, the standard Note 10 has a camera configuration very similar to the S10. In fact, for practical purposes or notice the difference.
Both have a triple camera with an ultra wide angle, a wide angle and a telephoto lens. The last two lenses have OIS and the resolutions of all three are the same. The only difference is that the telephoto lens of Note 10 has a somewhat faster aperture.
If we turn the phones around, we also find a camera configuration selfie Similary. The Note 10 also has a 10 MP front camera like the S10, but with a slower aperture at f / 2.1 instead of f / 1.9.
Autonomous battery
For now we have not been able to test the battery of the Note 10, but it has a somewhat higher capacity than the S10. However, having a larger screen, you probably won't notice the difference.
In this sense, we would have liked to see a battery even more powerful, since the autonomy of the battery of the Galaxy S10 was one of the things that most disappointed us of the Samsung mobile.
The Note 10 offers fast charging when using its 45W adapter. According to Samsung, if you use it for 30 minutes, you will have a battery for the whole day. Normally used your mobile will be charged at 25W, while this will be at 15W if you charge it wirelessly.
On the other hand, both the S10 and Note 10 offer Wireless PowerShare technology. This means that you can use your smartphone Galaxy to charge other devices compatible with Q1 technology, such as Galaxy Buds.
Four. Software and applications
The department where we find the most differences between the S10 and the Note 10 is in the software. While both run Android 9 with the skin Samsung One UI, the Note 10 allows you to take more advantage of your S Pen.
Among the new features of the S Pen, you can control your mobile using the pencil as if it were a magic wand. Just keep the button pressed and move the stylus to the left or to the right or in the form of a circle.
For now, these functions are somewhat limited. In our case, these gestures only worked with the camera app, but you should also be able to use them to control music playback or browse the photo gallery.
Although the camera sensors are practically identical, Samsung has wanted to differentiate those from the Note 10 by implementing improvements in the software, such as the improved Super Steady stabilization.
On the other hand, with Note 10 you can also edit videos you just made with your mobile with an adapted Adobe Rush version. For example, you could include a thumbnail video of yourself on another video that you have captured from your screen.
Galaxy S10 or Galaxy Note 10 ?: Our verdict
There is no doubt that the Galaxy Note 10 is an excellent phone. However, if you are not going to use the S Pen, it will surely seem to you that the Galaxy S10 offers better value for money. In addition, with the S10 you will have the port Jack and better screen resolution.
