Apple has announced that it will open its first iOS application development center in Europe together with an associated institution in Naples, Italy. The center will provide a specialized curriculum for students to learn skills and training practices in the development of iOS applications and Apple will work with other partners in Italy that will prepare developers to offer additional opportunities to students.
Apple CEO Tim Cook said the company's ecosystem has already provided 1.4 million jobs in Europe, which includes 1.2 million jobs that contribute to the application economy. In Italy specifically, Apple says there are 75,000 jobs that are related to the App Store.
