Is this the iPhone 8 that you would like to see?

Although there are many of us who are still not sure what will happen this year with the Apple flagship, the latest rumors (and not so recent) point in the direction of a complete redesign of the iPhone that we have missed so much in 2016, and that would include the transition to new materials such as stainless steel and glass (Neither in this case are new materials strictly speaking) that would leave aside the aluminum we have been seeing on the iPhone from the iPhone 5.

Now Imran Taylor has gathered the main rumors about Apple's next iPhone 8 and has developed a concept that reflects how the next smartphone could be the bitten apple. It's the one you see about these words, but do you want to find out more in detail?

An iPhone 8 reinvented?

The newly released 2017 is a year of enormous importance for Apple. It is not the first time I say it, nor will it be the last, and I am not the only one who thinks so. During 2016, iPhone sales have experienced, so to speak, a slowdown, and for the first time in thirteen years, Apple has seen how its revenues and profits were reduced. Even so, in 2016 Apple chose not to innovate, presenting us with an iPhone 7 that should have been called “iPhone 7 S S”. Many will not agree, but I will not be more papist than the father and the reality is that it is an improved phone whose production has to be reduced for obvious reasons.

On the other hand, Apple has not taken advantage of the Galaxy Note 7 crisis and Samsung is willing to make its big mistake relegated to oblivion with an impressive Galaxy S8. In fact, if the rumors we have seen recently are fulfilled, Apple is going to have to work hard to make its iPhone 8 better than the Galaxy S8, operating systems on the sidelines.

But 2017 is also the tenth anniversary of the presentation and subsequent launch of the first iPhone, the "original iPhone", as we now call it.

A) Yes, Everything seems to conspire to force Apple to innovate in 2017 and present an iPhone that surprises us as it has not been for a long time, at least since 2013.

With all these “obligations” on the table, rumors and leaks suggest that the iPhone 8 will leave its aluminum case in favor of a return to the design in glass and stainless steel that will remind us a lot of the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s line. So much so that for a second I believed that the concept elaborated by Imran Taylor was the image of an iPhone 4.

In the design elaborated by Imran Taylor we can see a possible iPhone 8 that presents a thin stainless steel band along its entire lateral perimeter joining the front and back of the device, both made of glass.

The last time Apple made use of a stainless steel band along with a crystal design was on the iPhone 4s. Subsequently, with the iPhone 5, it was passed to aluminum, which has remained until the current iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

On the back of this iPhone 8 concept we can also see other rumors that haunt this terminal as a double vertical camera and even a Smart connector as the introducer in the iPad Pro line that we certainly don't know what it could be for on the iPhone.

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo was the first to report that Apple was working on a glass-back design, although subsequent reports from Foxconn and the glass suppliers would confirm this change. A more recent report suggests that stainless steel band along the entire perimeter of the phone. In addition, lThe edges of the screen would be curved, in addition to disappearing almost completely the frames.

Is this the iPhone 8 with which Apple surprises us in 2017? Is this the iPhone 8 we expect? It is still too early to draw conclusions, but if so, I am afraid that many of us will think about it a lot.
