Why is it preferable to delete applications or games instead of photographs?
How to recover deleted photos and videos on iPhone or iPad
Recover previously deleted images or videos It is a very simple procedure It does not require great knowledge. Here we show you how to do it.
- First we go to the application Photos.
- Then click on the option Albums located at the bottom of the screen.
- Now we have to look for an album called Removed, where are all the photographs and videos that have been deleted in the last thirty days.
- Once inside this album, we can see the images and videos that we have recently deleted. In each image and video we can see the remaining days that we need to recover those images or photographs in question. The most recent files are at the top while the oldest ones are at the bottom.
- To recover a particular image or photograph, we just have to click on Select, located in the upper right corner, select all the files we want to recover and finally press on the Recover option, located in the lower right corner.
- Once they have been recovered, all recovered files, images or videos, they will meet again on the Reel album, from where it had been eliminated.
Recover all the contents of the deleted folder
If instead of recovering lost photos or videos one by one, we want recover all stored content that we have deleted we must go to the deleted album and click on Edit. Next we must not select any image or video, we just have to click on the option that appears at the bottom and is called Recover All. All images and videos that have been deleted will be available again in the Reel album.
Recover deleted images from the iCloud Photo Library
If we have activated the iCloud Photo Library, the photos that we remove from our reel will be placed within the deleted elements of our Photo Library, so we will only have to go to the Deleted folder to recover them again.
Delete synchronized photos
On many occasions if we are fans of photography and we want to keep each and every one classified in different albums, we can synchronize them from our Mac or PC to always have them on our iPhone, iPad. o iPod Touch If we want to delete any of these photographs, we must do so directly in the folder of our Mac or PC where they are stored. Once they have been deleted, we must synchronize those albums again so that they are automatically deleted from our device.
Quickly get space on our device by deleting photos and videos
As I commented earlier each time we delete an image or video from our device, we don’t automatically recover space in it, but all that content is moved directly to the Deleted folders for 30 days to be able to recover it before that time elapses.
But if we need to recover space quickly on our device and we no longer have photographs or videos left to delete, we must proceed to delete all album contents deleted to be able to recover all the space they are occupying.
How to recover photos from iPhone without backup
From iPhone News always we recommend backing up regularly to avoid losing all the photos and videos that we have stored on our device. If we do not have the iCloud Photo Library activated, or My photos in streaming it is practically impossible to be able to recover any type of information that we had stored in it.
If we do not usually connect our iPhone or iPad to the computer, it is most likely that we do not have backup copies on our PC or Mac to be able to have a copy of all the content of our iPhone or iPad if for any reason we lose all the content of the same. If, despite the risk we suffer, we still do not back up our PC or Mac because of laziness, the best we can do is to use one of the cloud storage services which allow us to make a backup in the cloud of all the images and videos we make with our device.
Currently the best free service, but we want to use the iCloud service offered by Apple and that is paid, which offers us this possibility is Google Photos. Google Photos since its launch has become an indispensable application for many millions of iOS users, as it automatically uploads a copy of all the photos and videos we make with our device. In this way we can be calm if we lose, steal or damage our iPhone without the possibility of repair, since all the content will be found in our Google account.
Unlike other services, Google Photos will keep an exact copy of the images that we capture with our device, since it only resizes the images when their resolution exceeds 16 megapixels. In the case of videos recorded in 4k quality, the Google Photos service will automatically convert the videos to Full HD, instead of storing them in the original resolution.
How to recover photos from a restored iPhone
Every time Apple releases a new version of iOS, it is always recommended perform a clean installation from scratch, not to drag operating problems. Before performing this new installation, iTunes informs us if we have a backup copy of all its contents, which is essential if we do not want to lose all the information we have stored in them.
Once we have restored our iPhone or iPad from scratch, the device itself will ask us if we want to configure the iPhone as a new device or if we want to upload a backup that we have previously made. In that case, we will have to reconnect our iPhone or iPad to iTunes and the backup is uploaded.
The problem that this operation entails is that we will re-drag all operating problems that were present before updating or restoring our device. To avoid these problems, the best thing we can do is either use Google Photos to access all the images and videos we have done in the past with that device or extract all the photos and videos from the iPhone or iPad before updating it and restore it to synchronize them later through iTunes from the backup where we store all that content, not from the backup we made of our iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.
Methods to recover photos from iPhone
When our iPhone is about to reach the limit of its capacity and there is hardly any storage space left in it to be able to take pictures and record videos, the most logical step is extract all content and save it on a separate hard drive, to always be able to access it. To extract the content we can do it in various ways.
With the Photos application (Mac)
The Photos application, relatively new in OS X, allows us Quickly access all images that we have stored on our iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch every time we connect our device to the Mac. From the application itself we can organize the images, import them, delete them and make a backup copy on our Mac and then save it on an external security disk .
With the Image Capture application (Mac)
Directly accessing the device (Windows PC)
The Photos application is not available for Windows, so we have to use other methods to extract all the content that we have stored on our iPhone or iPad. This may be the easiest method to extract the photos and videos that we have on our device, since we only have to connect it to our Windows PC and access the different folders where the iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch stores all the photos and videos we take on them. Once inside the different folders where the files we want to copy are located, we just have to drag them to the folder where we are going to store the content.
With the Acquire image function (Windows PC)
Depending on the version of Windows that we are using, this function is likely to be named in a different way. Every time we connect our iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, Windows will show us a message with all the options available. Among all those that appear, we have to select the one that allows us to acquire or capture all the images we have on the device.
Next, we must select the destination folder where we want to store them. Once the capture has been made, we will proceed to move that folder to an external hard drive, to have the images we have taken with our iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.
