Apple start trying Augmented Reality glasses

Apple has already made clear what it thinks of Virtual Reality, and that its intentions in the short and medium term does not include developing this type of technology, but another very different thing is Augmented Reality. Isolating yourself in a fake world does not seem to have much more application outside the video game market, but enrich the reality that we perceive with relevant information, which is in the company's plans, and in fact, Bloomberg reports, will already be beginning to test the first devices: Augmented Reality glasses, similar to Google Glass that have already been forgotten.

The company would have already asked some suppliers for parts to create a few test units. We are talking about small amounts of screens adapted to be near the eye and other elements of those glasses but never in sufficient quantity to suspect an immediate mass manufacturing to market, but that they would only allow to create a few units to begin testing these new “wearables”. To this information should be added the purchase of various companies related to this technology, and the result would be a clear interest of Apple in developing a device in the medium term.

The obligatory question would be "What has Apple seen in Augmented Reality glasses after Google discarded the project?" The Google Glass, which generated a stir in their presentation and from which pages and pages were written in blogs and other specialized media, were buried by Google. It seems that the problems with its design, with its autonomy and above all the doubts about the privacy they generated were key to the abandonment of the project. Design and privacy should not be a problem for Apple, but it will have to improve the autonomy of these glasses to really get a product that is successful in the market. We will have to wait at least until 2018 to see something come true, if it becomes one.
