The iris scanner arrive on the iPhone next year

DigiTimes states that the sources of this news come from the supply chain. Previously This same medium stated that the possible arrival of an iris scanner would not arrive until 2018. It seems that the company has advanced the plans to implement this new security measure that would be complemented by the Touch ID, since this new iris scanner does not imply the disappearance of the Touch ID. The iris scanner is ideal when we have busy or stained hands and need to use the device.

But also this iris scanner too will be used to confirm payments through Apple Pay, as we can currently do through the Touch ID. According to DigiTimes, Xintec, which is associated with the Apple TSMC manufacturer, Mass production of iris recognition chips will begin in 2017. This new security measure would be implemented in the models that the Cupertino-based company launches next year.
